Ryan's Jurisdiction

This blog is an insight into the world of a lawyer in Westchester. My blog has become a way for me to easily record my experiences, pictures and memories so I won't forgot them, along with cooking recipes and a few other things.

I was going through the photos saved to Ryan’s phone yesterday, and I found some pictures of Hunter that were too cute not to share. She was SOOO small.

We got our wedding teaser photos last night and I adore them. I’m so incredibly happy with how everything turned out. I feel like I am reliving moments of the wedding as I go through the pictures and it’s a reminder of how magical our wedding day was. I can’t speak highly enough of our photographer, Jason. He is not only great at what he does, but he also feels like an old friend and has a very calming presence (which, I recommend for anyone planning their wedding, you should surround yourself with as many calming people as you possibly can because it is a STRESSFUL day). Hiring him was one of our best wedding decisions.

This weekend was so relaxing and peaceful. We spent most of it at home, going to our pool, relaxing outside, playing with the pup and taking care of some much-needed cleaning and house organization.

The weekend highlights included when Ryan and I decided not to go out to eat on Friday, and grilled a few pounds of steak. Corn on the cobb, sweet potato fries and a huge salad. And for dessert, talenti with chocolate chip cookies. Heaven.

On Saturday, we went to the city and brought Hunter. She did SO well! She could almost pass for a city dog. We hung out in the park - Hunter made a million friends - there’s literally not a person or animal she doesn’t like.

As expected, it is devastating going back to work today. I wish every weekend could be a holiday.

Venison steaks - with pepper, flour, seasoned salt, butter, onions, and a little cayenne pepper. Super organic. Thanks Dad.

This is the week I get married →

It all started four years ago, today.

Ryan and I sat next to each other in barbri, sort of engaged in conversation… he asked me if I wanted to meet up later for his friend’s birthday, he waited until 9:30pm to call me and tell me a location, and I actually went. Romantic, I know.

On our…

Just to clarify:

First, I had been in touch with Jen earlier than 9:30 the first night we hung out but had a prior engagement, so I didn’t arrive at the birthday party until 9:30 anyway.  And let’s be honest, at that age it was surprising for birthday parties to start earlier than 9:30.

Second, when I said I would break up with a girl if we were dating and she lost her legs I said that I believed the strain that would put on a relationship I was in where I wasn’t in love or engaged yet would inevitably lead to breakup.  Jen can be rest assured I will stay with her if she loses her legs.  God forbid.

The part about being in relationships with other people is true, except Jen lied completely about hers until much later.  And I still don’t know why.

Yes, we got back together and spent every moment we could talking to each other and being with each other, and still do.  To this day it makes doing multiple tasks in one day very difficult.

I love her with all my heart and I am going to wait until the wedding to get sappy but I am looking forward to marrying Jen and living the rest of my life with her.

It has been a while since I really posted anything.  And that is because my wedding is ONE WEEK AWAY!!!!!  Wedding planning, work, and the puppy have been absolutely crazy.  Can’t wait for the honeymoon!
